Scholarship Description

EAA Post-Secondary Scholarships support students pursuing aviation-related education and training at colleges, universities, technical schools, community colleges and flight-training programs. Students will complete one application and are considered for all scholarships for which they qualify.

Scholarship Details

  • Scholarship amounts vary depending on available donor funding and may not be finalized until shortly before awards are made
  • Scholarships may be used at a flight-training program or post-secondary institution in the United States or Canada
  • Award recipients must accept their scholarship within three months of the award date
  • Declined or unaccepted awards are offered to students on the waiting list

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must be at least 16 years old at the time of the award
  • Applicants must have a minimum 2.5 GPA, although individual scholarships may require a higher GPA
  • Applicants must be a citizen or resident of the United States or Canada, or be eligible to work or study in the United States or Canada through a visa or other qualifying documentation
  • International applicants must have current and proper documentation allowing them to work or attend school in the United States
  • Applicants must plan to attend an eligible flight-training program or post-secondary institution in the United States or Canada
  • Applicants who hold a master's or doctoral degree are not eligible for a post-secondary scholarship
  • Selection criteria may vary by scholarship and can include factors such as GPA, state of residence and financial need
  • Applicants with strong involvement in aviation and non-aviation clubs, organizations, extracurricular activities and community volunteering may be given preference during the selection process

  2. Prepare information about your aviation interests, educational plans, extracurricular activities, clubs, organizations and volunteer experience
  3. Complete the scholarship application
  4. Submit the single application to be considered for all EAA Post-Secondary Scholarships for which you qualify
  5. Wait for the scholarship selection process
