EAA Post-Secondary Scholarships support students pursuing aviation-related education and training at colleges, universities, technical schools, community colleges and flight-training programs. Students will complete one application and are considered for all scholarships for which they qualify.
Scholarship Details
- Scholarship amounts vary depending on available donor funding and may not be finalized until shortly before awards are made
- Scholarships may be used at a flight-training program or post-secondary institution in the United States or Canada
- Award recipients must accept their scholarship within three months of the award date
- Declined or unaccepted awards are offered to students on the waiting list
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be at least 16 years old at the time of the award
- Applicants must have a minimum 2.5 GPA, although individual scholarships may require a higher GPA
- Applicants must be a citizen or resident of the United States or Canada, or be eligible to work or study in the United States or Canada through a visa or other qualifying documentation
- International applicants must have current and proper documentation allowing them to work or attend school in the United States
- Applicants must plan to attend an eligible flight-training program or post-secondary institution in the United States or Canada
- Applicants who hold a master's or doctoral degree are not eligible for a post-secondary scholarship
- Selection criteria may vary by scholarship and can include factors such as GPA, state of residence and financial need
- Applicants with strong involvement in aviation and non-aviation clubs, organizations, extracurricular activities and community volunteering may be given preference during the selection process
